Mysterious Story

Many years ago my dad was walking at night around a pasture. Suddenly he saw a white sheet moving on the air, so he got scared and he start to run. The problem was that he had to pass next to the pasture. What happened when he passed next to the pasture was that he discovered that the sheet was being moved by a horse´s head that was stocked in the sheet that was extended.
It is really funny because if he would not have passed next to the pasture he´d never have known what happened for real.

The person I admire...

The person I admire is my mother. Why write about she? Because she is an example of dedication, love and desire.
We are four daughters and although she has been a single mother she has dedicated her life for us been profesional women, of good manners, feelings, also she taught us to l ove and to respect a ll living things around us and we see all people as same, regardless of disability, injury, etc.
She is a person who has passed tests very hard and she keeps the faith and love of God in everything she does.
For these and many other things my mother is the person I admire.
She is my heroine.

A little lie....

When I was five years old, I came to San José with my father. After some time walking I was very tired, so my father said to me, “you stay here I will return soon”. After 10 minutes I was scared and in that momento one police officer asked me, “Why are you alone? And I said that my father had forgotten about me.
She stayed with me until we found my father. When we found him, the police officer argued with my father.
The lie was that my father had not forgotten about me.

Technological Progress

Over the time the technology has advanced incredibly over the years the boom keeps growing. Following interview was made out to my ex-boss Dr. Hernandez who is pensioned, but in this moment is studying a subject of the internet to catch up with social networking programs like Face book, see what comments:
1.Do you think about the technology?
A/ That is vital for survival today, and that it is necessary to update all its parameters.
2.As technological changes have interfered in your life?
A/ At first a bit difficult to adapt to changes that do not know how instruments work, and I am afraid some application programs. Something that amazed me was the photography, black and white before, now in color and if you have the option to make corrections you look younger, with more life. Now, imagine the changes at the procedures in my work area “nursing”, the medical implements changes to give more safety to the patient and me as support staff.
3.Do you consider these important changes in the daily work?
A/ Definitely, because in everything you do the technology is implicitly in the study, work, social activities and you do need to merge in these developments to update your knowledge.
4.You have been hard to merge the use of technology?
A/ More or less, especially with the use of the computer, it is now essential, if you must keep records, records to up, write a letter and the programs have shifted from monochrome computer until now and wonder of the internet, you need to know to how to find information properly the imagine.
5.Which technology has been the hardest to learn to use?
A/ The computer. Because their programs have been several changes, and you must upgrade to use them successfully. Some of these changes are fun as cell phones, clear some almost have to take a short course to know to use.
6.You have created fear learn to use technological advances?
A/ Yes, in some cases more than others. My sons give me recommendations and become my teachers in some subjects, in others it is necessary to investigate and ask those who are more prepared.
Thanks for bringing your experience.
A/ With pleasure…

Immigration Policies in Costa Rica

As part of the social characteristics and labor, integration and public policy on immigration in Costa Rica (Politicas de Inmigracion en Costa Rica, 2008) you must define the demographic and socio-economic characterization of migrants through such thing as:
1.Diagnosis panoramic migration of the country, considering the general situation, demographics labor characteristics and geographical distribution of the immigrant population.

2.Socio economic differences observed in this population and function of gender, relationship and years of residence.
3.Employment landscape with special attention to the Nicaraguan population.

4.Migrants access to the services and their relationship with the satisfaction of basic needs.
5.National legislation which regulates the international migration in the country and the publics policies aimed at regulating the management of public attention to migrants in different fields related to the problem of integration a respect for their rights.
Also be taken into account and not least:
1.International migration in Costa Rica in the last decade.
2.Contributions of migrants to the country and problems faced.
Is important to mention that one of the flows has been the most studied of the Nicaraguan immigrant population, but according to the population census of 2000 and regular household surveys have revealed significant numbers of immigrants from Colombia, Panamanian, of the other countries in the Americas, some Caribbean islands as Cubans, Dominicans, Haitians and some Peruvians and Chinese.
My opinion with respect to that issue involving the above aspects, in our country are offering more stable living standards and higher quality compared to other Central American countries, to mention the most obvious are:
* Access to public education is not restricted to those who have no economic opportunity, give them scholarships or grants options with government institutions.
* Access to social insurance, as in any health emergency can be resolved at low cost and access in any area of health.
* Access to work, since there is a direct relationship between job characteristics and supply / demand in the labor market. Not discriminating against anyone to engage in job competitions being of another nationality.

Home schooling

The homeschooling have some advantages and disadvantages, but what is the best choice?

According: http://www.misterwriter.info/2010/08/sad-news-homeschooling-is-getting.html ,the author of this blog who is a advocate over education at home one considered just for fundamentalists, homeschoolers today cite many different reasons for their home education choice:

· 8.2% child has special needs or disability

· 9% student behavior problems at school

· 11.5% other problems with available with school

· 11.6% school does not challenge child

· 12.1% object to what school teaches

· 15.1% to develop character and morality

· 16.8% family reasons

· 25.6% poor learning environment at school

· 38.4% religious reasons

· 48.9% can give child better education at home

Other views include aspects such as: Today some children have so much homework that they become distraught when they can’t complete it. Even some parents think that the amount of homework that is the expected is over the top.
I believe the schoolwork, including pressure in the discharge of duties, leading to sacrifice their leisure activities and this also generates effects to family life. Besides that the task should be more hands-on projects instead of exercises and drills. Also I am disagree “A good teacher should be able to teach everything necessary in class and not have to assign homework”, because the children learn the basics rules in the classroom and reinforced by some practices which are needed to perform at home. This is a necessary point to create some independence of mind in the child, assess their understanding at the classroom and improve their self esteem. Also, I consider that for a student to pays off is a joint effort between teacher, parents and the pupil.
Other aspects which are important to assess in this decision are:

* School children learn to socialize, and to interact with other children and with different teachers.

* Might develop addiction to the internet, as it would be a necessary tool to develop your projects and tasks.

* Children could performance less physical activity, because it will not physical education classes and/or other complementary.

* The government must have the necessary resources for this project: the updated technology and human support.

Anyway and in the course of history have been self-taught people, curious to learn and improve the quality of life, some of them as: Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, who did not have an education system, but with a spirit of excellence, and teach as that when there is desire to learn who put no limits.
